Veranstaltungen

Die erste Veranstaltung des Projekts "Europa ja, aber wie?" findet am 12. Februar 2019 in Aachen statt.  Gemeinsam mit We Are Europe e.V. laden wir herzlich zur Diskussion über ein europäisches Vereinsrecht in das Forum M ein.

On 23 and 24 January 2019, REGIOPARL will be officially kicked off with a conference at Danube University Krems.
The goal is to reflect on the various academic debates on regions and regional governance in the EU, from multi-level parliamentarism to regional development, and from regional autonomy to populism.

The rule of law, sexual freedom, gender equality, free trade. Norms that seemed fundamental are being put into question. The backlash against a rule-based international system and free societies is not just occurring in the West but throughout the world. Has market centrism and increasing inequality left too many people behind?

Have we made any progress in fighting inequality, sexism, racism, and other exclusionary tendencies? When did we lose track of striving towards ever fairer societies and economies that value equality, freedom and the rule of law?

A series of talks between research and activism on the role of the economy, the state, and gender in times of resurgent nationalism.

For the first time in European history, citizens all over the continent will gather at a single moment in time – 10th of November at 4 p.m. – to spark a broad debate about European democracy and what it means to be European citizens.

March For A New Europe – All Aboard!

On 23 June 2016, the United Kingdom announced its decision to leave the EU. For nationalists and populists, it’s become a day of celebration. But now it’s our turn! We refuse to be silenced on that day of all days. We’re going to speak up loud and clear for our idea of a new Europe!

We stand firm against backwards, nationalist, and fact-denying politics: the kind that’s symbolised by the red bus of the Leave campaign 🇬🇧🚗🚌. We’re putting our foot down. We’ve got bags of concrete proposals that will signpost the way to a democratic, sustainable, supportive Europe!

Join us for an event to celebrate the publication of DISCO SOUR, a speculative fiction novel from Giuseppe Porcaro, published by Unbound.

Giuseppe Porcaro will be in conversation with Ulrike Guérot, founder and director of the European Democracy Lab. The conversation will be followed by music, drinks and book signing.
